It only has been less than two weeks since Mama Adrian liked our Facebook page (and we made an entry about it here), and just earlier tonight, she followeds us on Twitter! We both couldn't believe our eyes when that happened. Thank you so much, Mama Adrian!
Today also marks our third month since we had released this fansite. Yes, we're still a very young website! So we couldn't thank all of you enough for supporting us and, most importantly, Nathan Adrian. Let's continue on this wild adventure with Nathan all the way to Rio 2016 and beyond! Fellow reader, Anna Nguyen, had the opportunity to meet Nathan Adrian at the Austin Grand Prix. You can read her story below I came to Austin early Thursday evening from Houston to make sure that I would wake up early for the prelims on Friday. I got there around 8 and sat on the first row of benches. I looked out and I spotted Nathan warming up with other Olympians. Needless to say, my day started out great. This was my first time attending a swim meet so it was really interesting. If you have met Nathan Adrian, feel free to contact or email us about your story. You just might be featured on our website! Fellow reader Mayna brought her swimming friends to watch the Austin Grand Prix. She's lucky to have such a swim meet at her school where she can meet not only other Olympians, but she can meet Ricky Berens everyday if she wanted to. You can read her story below. So I brought a friend and we met up with my swimming friends. And school friends met up with us. We had a huge group. We were standing in line for tickets and we see this group of tall guys. We're thinking "Is that them??" One of them had a bright green backpack, so I knew it was Lochte. We ran over there and my friend Haley and I made our cool shirts so we took off our jackets asked them if they liked it and a crowd was there. I could only get a picture with him since he said he had to go.(yet he didn't warm up until more than an hour later). If you have met Nathan Adrian, feel free to contact or email us about your story. You just might be featured on our website! Source: @maynanguyen
Fellow reader Lourdes drove six hours to drive to Austin, Texas just to meet Nathan Adrian when he competed at the Austin Grand Prix. You can read her story below. whoahhhhh! LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING!! The meet was AMAZING!!! the first time i saw him he walked right in front of me! i was like nathan? nathan? holy cow! NATHAN!!!! He smiled at me and was like "Ah man i'd like to stay and talk but i have to warm up." WOOOOOOO!! Talk about an adrelanin rush! lol i was freaking out! lol anyways so the meet was going on and Nathan looked over at us and read our posters! After his event we stayed there for like 30 minutes just waiting to get a picture with him... the wait was worth it!! i got to meet Missy Franklin, Ricky Berens & Tyler Clary! Anyways Nathan finally came out and was like "You are the ones with the posters huh?" i was like "Yepp thats us!!" and he was like "Thats so awesome! Thanks for taking the long roadtrip to support me." (btw the roadtrip was six hours long) I felt really bad because i was hogging nathan up! haha i hugged him and was like "IDK if i'll ever be able to let you go." hahaha he was so chill about it! He signed my poster and man i am still shaking! i was soooooooo excited!!! but anyways, Nathan Ghar-jun Adrian if you're reading this THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! If you have met Nathan Adrian, feel free to contact or email us about your story. You just might be featured on our website! Source: @huniibadger
We are currently one away from having 200 followers on our Twitter, which we are both incredibly thankful for all of you for supporting the fansite for Nathan Adrian. We are not definitely going to stop at 200, though, but 200 is certainly something we did not expect in less than three months of working on this site. However, we did not expect Nathan Adrian's mom to Like our Facebook page because we don't really post anything but just updates that you can simply check on Twitter as well. It was incredibly crazy that she liked it, but she didn't even add us on Twitter yet. So if you're reading this, Mama Adrian, remember to follow us, too! And for you guys, if you haven't Liked us on our Facebook page yet, you can follow this link here. Once again, we thank you so much, and I'm sure Nathan appreciates all of your support as well. Hey guys! This is Jenny updating the [Fan Moment] of when Ashley and I met Nathan Adrian in person! I will try to keep this short because it really is a lot to write about. If you have been following us on Twitter, you know that I made a poster for Nathan. It was a very big poster to carry, and a lot of people were mad that I brought it out and blocked them in the audience, but when they found out that it was Nathan, they were happy about it. When we went to see Nathan, he was really happy to see the poster. I asked him if he can sign it, and he did, but guess where he signed it?! He signed it on my back! It actually took him a while to sign it, too, but he wrote a little something other than his signature. I also told him that we were the girls of the fansite, and he was like: "I know. Thank you so much." Overall, it was a very great night, and I'm glad that we got to meet Nathan in person. He really is the kindest person you'll ever meet. Hopefully you all get to see him someday. Jenny (@kirchu)
It finally happened. I met Nathan Adrian. It was such a crazy experience, from trying to get to him to me sitting on the curb, hugging my knees trying to process everything that had happened in a span of about half an hour and not cry. I really want to thank that mom who helped us meet Nathan and create this snowball effect of our decisions of what to do next. I'll try my best not to ramble on this post. After Nathan did his thing on stage, he was making his way to meet some fans. Nathan spotted the poster in the crowd. When Jenny and I got to him, he asked "Can I take a picture with this?" Probably one of the cutest things ever. We sort of "snuck backstage" and got our photos with him, he signed the poster and also gave me a hug. I asked for the hug and he said "Sure!" and put his other arm around me. I also photo bombed a couple photos. Nathan is one of the sweetest guys I've met. I just wished that we had more time with him and actually got the chance to talk to him. Ashley (@ashlehdahling)
Ashley was trying to take a nap before studying for her anatomy final for the past hour when Nathan Adrian tweeted about his burrito for both lunch and dinner. Nathan happened to tweet her "good luck!" which I am sure it is to help, which some of you have done so already on our Twitter. In other news, sorry that we haven't been updating lately. Unfortunately, since Nathan decided not to do the FINA World Championships in Turkey, we don't have much updates other than older content, but the both of us have been busy. Hopefully the both of us get to meet Nathan this Saturday, though, because he is a special guest! Jenny (@kirchu)
