[Fan Moment] Mary Falcon's Story on Meeting Nathan Adrian (and Natalie Coughlin)

Fellow reader Mary Falcon goes to UC Berkeley as a student and a swimmer, and she actually met Nathan Adrian by accident from a friend's suggestion of taking a faster route. Talk about luck! You can read her story below.

So funny story eh? As I walked to practice I had flashbacks of meeting Nathan Adrian and I was like: Man, that was a cool day.

After practice, I saw Natalie Coughlin walk in on deck and my friend and I waited for her so we could ask for a picture, which she did (super cool)! I asked if she swam for my team before and she was like, “Are you from Vallejo?” and so yeah, the swim team I swam for was her first team. :3

Afterwards, my friend and I went to grab lunch and he suggested another route but I said, No, this way is faster! And as we walked, I saw a handsome guy sitting on a bench and I told my friend, omg. That’s Nathan Adrian. I was going to leave him alone after I casually said, “Hey Nathan!” , but my friend wanted to ask for a picture and I asked if I could be in the picture too :p hehehe, then afterward I thanked him then asked how his finger was, which he said it’s feeling much better and I asked about his upcoming meets and events.

sooooo yeah. I forgot to wish him a happy early birthday (fail.) but I’m surprised I was calm and collected this time. Even my friend was surprised and I’m pretty sure Nathan heard him when he said, “I thought you’d be jumping up and down by now!” lol.

and thus, finals can begin….kidding.

side note: Nathan and I are matching yet again. (Cal gear ftw!)
